Pokemon GO developer
Niantic is working on a new Augmented Reality (AR) game based on the
popular movie franchise Transformers. The new game is titled
‘Transformers: Heavy Metal’ and it will be based on a similar
concept as other games like Ingress, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite from
the developer.
Niantic has partnered with Hasbro and TOMY to
develop its next real world AR game. According to the official blog
post, the game is still under development and details about
Transformers: Heavy Metal is pretty scarce right now. However, the
official website of the game is now live where users can register
themselves to get more information about the game.
Niantic has only
revealed that players will be able to team up with iconic characters
of the franchise like Bumble Bee in the real-world.
The
official mentions that the game will enter a soft launch and the beta
will be available to test in select markets soon.
