POKEMON UNITE COMING FOR MOBILE & SWITCH

POKEMON UNITE COMING FOR MOBILE & SWITCH

The Pokémon Company International along with TiMi Studio Group have just released further details on its highly-anticipated UNITE game. Now set for an official July release for the Nintendo Switch and a September release on mobile devices, The Pokémon UNITE team-based MOBA will see five classes — Attacker, Defender, Speedster, Supporter, and All-Rounder — duke it out on Aeos Island in a five-on-five team battle.

Pokemon Unite will bring 5-on-5 team battles in an arena, a setup that MOBA players will be familiar with. A typical match will involve catching wild Pokemon, levelling up and evolving your Pokemon, and defeating your opponent who is trying to do the same. You will also have to earn more points than the opposing team within the allotted time to secure a win. The trailer shows lane and jungle gameplay, along with showcasing some unique Pokemon abilities.

The game will give fans a chance to dress their Pokémon and trainer up in different skins aka Holowear. Nintendo has also announced that there will be cross-platform play slated for a later date. Those interested in the game can view the newly released opening cinematic and gameplay footage in the video above. Head over to Nintendo for more info.
